Let the memory of Theron be with us forever.

Theron Lamar Norwood was born on October 3,1956 in Enid, Oklahoma to Elder Jimmie and Charlene Norwood. He was the third child of seven children. He was raised in the church and his faith was rooted in his upbringing in the Church of God in Christ. His father, Elder Jimmy Norwood, was the pastor of Westside Church of God in Christ in Enid, Oklahoma. He attended public school and graduated from Enid High School in 1974. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Theron was a proud and cherished veteran who bravely served his country during the Vietnam Era. He remained a dedicated patriot throughout his life. Following his military service, he pursued a career in construction and air conditioning repair. His work took him to Colorado, Louisiana, and Nevada before he eventually returned to his hometown of Enid, Oklahoma. Unfortunately, a fall on a construction job left him injured, limiting his ability to continue working. Despite these challenges, he led a humble and meaningful life, never allowing his physical limitations to diminish his role as a loving father and grandfather. Theron deeply loved his family, and it was clear to all who knew him that they were always the center of his world. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elder Jimmie and Charlene Norwood; sister, Cheryl Norwood and son, Theron Norwood, Jr. (TJ). He is survived by his children, Terrance (LaReas) Norwood, Levina Norwood, Treka Brown and Jonathan Norwood; brothers: Ronald (Sandra) Norwood, Derwin (Debra) Norwood, Kevin (Laretha) Norwood, Stacey (Janet) Norwood and sister, Lanita Norwood; (provide number or list grandchildren) grandchildren and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
