Timothy Tomaszewski

1960 – 2023

Let the memory of Timothy be with us forever.

Timothy Jay Tomaszewski was born early in the wee hours of the morning on November 9, 1960. The night before, the presidential election was being tallied; Nixon vs Kennedy. The next morning Kennedy would be named president and Timothy would call the world home. Tim was born to Chester Tomaszewski and Margaret (Née Toth) and was baptized in the Catholic Faith at St. Pius X. He was the youngest of five children to siblings Sharon, Sandra, Don, and Debrah. Tim grew up in Southgate, Michigan until moving to Arizona at age 10 with his mother and siblings, Don and Debbie. Here, Tim would go to Peoria High school and graduate in 1978. In the 80’s Tim would serve in the United States Navy in secure communications as a radioman on ships U.S.S. Dubuque and U.S.S. Suribachi. Tim traveled to 32 different countries and 3 continents, Turkey, Spain, Italy, France, Japan, and the Philippines to name a few. Tim is succeeded by his lovely wife Elizabeth, who he met in 1990 and would go on to marry on November 22, 1991. Tim is also succeeded by his four children: Nathaniel, Sarah, Rebekkah, and Grace and six grand children: Samuel, Penelope, Maximilian, Vincent, Lincoln, and August. Tim received his associates degree at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 1997 and made the best baked beans you would ever eat. He also made a mean plate of spaghetti, káposztás tészta, fried rice, and chicken soup. He loved his Michigan Wolverines, all things history, and some good jazz music. He loved cold crisp days where the sun would shine and had a deep love of the Lord and found solace in his Catholic Faith. Tim was a devoted husband, a loving father, a playful grandparent, and kind uncle, cousin, nephew, and son. He loved greatly and gave generously, and was the kindest, wittiest person you would ever meet. We all miss him dearly, everyday.
