Travis Clark

1962 – 2021

Let the memory of Travis be with us forever.

Travis Lloyd Clark, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021, after a courageous battle with thyroid cancer. He was born on November 13, 1962, and was lovingly adopted by Clifford “Dutch” and Anna Lee Clark. Travis grew up in the Mountain Fuel camp in South Baxter, where he lived with his parents, adoptive brother Troy, and cherished family memories. As Travis and Troy reached school age, the family moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming, for their education.

During his high school years, Travis met the love of his life, Fern, and joined the Rock Springs High School rodeo team. He graduated in 1981 and began a lifelong journey of hard work, dedication, and passion. On January 15, 1983, he married Fern, and their union was blessed with a daughter, Amy, and later, two granddaughters, Keylee and Kodee. Travis was in awe of his daughter Amy and cherished every moment with his wife, daughter, and granddaughters, who were the light of his life.

A man of extraordinary talent and determination, Travis excelled in every endeavor he pursued. He was a skilled mechanic, craftsman, woodworker, countertop installer, and artist. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to run multiple successful businesses, and he worked diligently at numerous companies throughout his career, including Sweetwater Auto Parts, Pitt Construction, General Chemical, Sweetwater County, TALCO Trucking, Economy Polymers, and Rockwater, where he worked until his diagnosis.

Travis’s love for outdoor adventures—from fishing and hunting to golfing—was matched only by his deep love for his family. While he didn’t care for arrowhead hunting, he approached all other activities with enthusiasm and a smile. He will be remembered for his kindness, his booming laugh, and the countless hours he spent creating, building, and providing for those he loved.

Travis's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him and in the beautiful memories he leaves behind.
