I didn’t get a lot of time with you Ethan—but somehow, that didn’t matter. You could tell who you are within minutes. Your heart showed up right away—so full of kindness, gentleness, and that effortless humor that made everyone feel comfortable. I think about Thanksgiving all the time. We were playing Taboo, and you were absolutely crushing the clues. Seriously, they were so good. But poor Lauren just couldn’t get them. You were so patient. Just smiling and laughing with everyone. I also can’t drive past a Chipotle without thinking of you. Isn’t it funny how people leave little pieces of themselves behind in places we pass every day? Although the times we interacted weren’t many, it didn’t take long to hold a special space in my heart for you. You didn’t need years to leave a lasting impression. Just being around you, even briefly, was enough to know: you are someone special. And I know I’m not the only one who feels that way. Your goodness stays with us, woven into our memories, our laughter, and the stories we’ll keep telling. I’m so grateful to know you, even for a little while. And I can’t wait to see you again someday. Miss you, Ethan. Love, Shelbi
Let the memory of Ethan be with us forever.
Ethan Elijah Cox, 19, of Trafford, passed away unexpectedly, December 30, 2024. He was born April 29, 2005, in Pittsburgh, to Timmy Cox and Jami Leigh (Lodovico) Radabaugh. Ethan had the most loving, generous heart. It wasn’t just cliche, he truly would do anything for anyone. He was so funny and silly, intelligent and artistic. The love of his life was his family. Nothing meant more to him, nothing came before them. Though our family will no longer be whole without him, our prayer is that the loss of his young life may somehow impact and save another. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-father, Justin Radabaugh; five siblings, Evyn (Raelynn Rylander) Cox, Niko Cox, Eva Cox, Londyn Radabaugh and Avonlei Radabaugh. Ethan is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Deborah Lodovico; his paternal grandparents, Jeffrey and Sharon Hayes; three uncles, Frank (Amy) Lodovico and Jon (Jenna) Lodovico, Brandon (Tori) Cox, an aunt, Jennifer (Jeff) Spier and his loving girlfriend, Lauren Marton.
