Florence Ellen Means, 77, of Aurora, passed away Thursday July 7, 2022.

Her husband had a saying, "Life is like a book, you have a beginning chapter and a last chapter. How you fill the book is what you do with your life. " She had a best seller.

She was born to the late Leemon and Ruth Peregrine, April 2, 1945, in Westboro, MO. Florence graduated from Westboro High School in 1963 and received a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Metropolitan State University in 1996. She married Larry Means on December 31, 1965 in Denver, Colorado, and they relocated with the Air Force, and lived in Oklahoma, Germany, Texas, and permanently located in Aurora, CO in 1978 where Larry retired from the Air Force in 1982.

Florence worked in accounts receivables/payables for multiple companies and retired in 2007. After retiring she worked with the Aurora Police Department as a volunteer, helping them do data entry.

Florence enjoyed traveling with Larry on cruises all over the world. Places they visited were the Caribbean, Alaska, Fiji, South America, the Mediterranean, Greece, United Kingdom, Russia, Norway, Singapore, and Australia.

Florence enjoyed bowling, and watching the Denver Broncos football team with her family. Florence coached junior bowling in the early 80's, and was her husband's bowling coach whenever he went bowling.

Florence is survived by two children: Michele Beers of Colorado Springs, and Stephanie Kaufmann of Centennial. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Andrew Beers, Kayla Kaufmann, Ashley Beers, and Brady Kaufmann and also survived by a brother Gene Peregrine, and two sisters: Ruth Ann Miller and Barb Braley. She is preceded in death by her parents Leemon and Ruth Peregrine, brothers Harold and Dale, and sisters Linda and Helen.

Florence loved spending time with her grandchildren, and supporting them in all aspects of their lives.
