Brookside - Howard Williams of Brookside, Utah went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 11, 2018. He was born January 9, 1923 and lived a wonderful life of 95 and a half years. His cancer returned after 6 great years of being cancer free. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to Floyd and Hattie Williams. Howard worked for the Southern Railroad and took those skills to World War II where he served in the 3rd Army under General Patton as a railway engineer. Throughout his life he enjoyed a variety of careers. He owned and operated a tile company. He later used his GI bill to receive an education in the aircraft industry. That led him to Tucson, Arizona where he worked for Beiser Aviation and Bell Aerosystems. He was then recruited by Pan American World Airways to work at the Nuclear Rocket Development Station on the Nevada Test Site. Upon completion of that 10 year project he worked with his daughter Donna owning and operating Personalized Pool Service. Upon retirement he moved to Brookside, Utah. His life in Brookside was filled with countless memories and many, many wonderful friends. He loved gardening, golf, fishing and serving his friends in the community. He served on the water board and the fire department where he was Chief. Fire and Water became his life as he loved to serve others. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary Susan and his daughter Donna Marie. He is survived by his son Wesley Williams (Linda), three grand children, Cindy Autry (Byron), Amber Williams and Adam Williams. Three great grand children, Laura, Byron Jr. and Dillon.
