James Tingue

Let the memory of James be with us forever.

Obituary

James D. Tingue, born in 1962, passed from this world in 2026 at the age of 64. To those who knew and loved him, he was far more than the sum of any words we might choose to describe him.

James was a brother, and in that role he carried the particular kind of loyalty and familiarity that only a sibling can offer. He knew the history, the inside jokes, the quiet moments that never make it into speeches but live on in the hearts of those who shared them with him. Losing a brother is losing a piece of the story you have been telling together your whole life.

He also served his country, and that service was a meaningful part of who he was. Whatever he carried from that chapter of his life, it shaped him, and the people who loved him recognized that.

James leaves behind a family who will miss him in the specific, everyday ways that matter most. Not just on the big occasions, but in the small and ordinary moments when you reach for the phone to share something and remember, with a pang, that he is gone.

He was here for 64 years. He was a brother. He served. He was loved. That is not a small thing. That is everything.
