John Grill III

1952 – 2021
Lived in Mount Dora, Florida

Let the memory of John be with us forever.

My father, grew up in Franklin Pennsylvania. And graduated high school from Rocky Grove high school. He worked most of his life from age 13 as an automotive mechanic with his father. He later became a specialist with automatic transmissions. He was a vendor for federal express. At one point all FedEx trucks in our area at the time had one of his transmissions in. He is married to my mother who has been with him since she was 16 years old. I am their only child. He also ran a DJing karaoke business, which was his passion, and he could certainly work a crowd. He was the kind of man who knew no strangers. I have such good memories of my father. He was a special man. He always went above and beyond, especially for me, his daughter. He was proud of me in every way. It was an honorable and admirable quality my father had that he went out of his way to have such a great relationship with me. When I was in college about an hour away from my hometown, my dad would drive to see me every Tuesday to go on what we call “daddy daughter nights” he would take me to dinner and sometimes we go to the mall and window shop. He would come regardless of weather, rain sleet, hail, snow. When I was younger, my dad would take me on what we called “dates” we’d go to a restaurant called Roy Rogers and then the toy store. My dad knew God and loves Jesus. In 1998 my father survived a medical emergency. had an aneurysm Of the ascending aorta. At this time surviving an aneurysm of this part of the order was slim to none. My dad survived! All glory goes to God! . My dad recalls hearing God‘s voice and said that when he left the hospital, he felt that he was walking hand-in-hand with Jesus a feeling that left him as he got better , but Always said he’d never forget that feeling. My dad loved music. He was a DJ for many years and enjoyed singing karaoke. And, he was pretty darn good at it too. I miss him every day. My dad passed away of Covid and 2021 but really he had a pulmonary embolism in the ICU and a physicians assistant was the only one on the ICU unit that night. No Dr. and We were told that the physicians assistant couldn’t recognize a pulmonary embolism , it was very tragic and traumatic. And thanks to the Covid diagnosis there’s nothing we can do about the physicians assistance negligence to the pulmonary embolism. My dad was in the hospital for 20+ days that I was unable to see him. The event that followed next are to traumatic To write. I pray for my dad’s soul and that he rests with Jesus. My dad was a wonderful man. If you’re reading this, he was sure man you’d want to get to know you. He was he could make anybody laugh. He wasn’t afraid to stick up for what was right. He could fix just about anything. He was one of the good ones
