Let the memory of Josh be with us forever.
Joshy (to his sister), Josh to his family, also lovingly known as Dundee to his friends, and lastly Honey to his fiancee, was loved greatly loved by every person am animal who had the fortune of knowing him. His huge heart matched his tall stature and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his family.
Josh spent his life dedicating his time to caring for animals of all sizes and species, whether it be his lemur Loki, or his sweet pups Jax and Diesel, or his kitties too many to name. He also bred everything from snakes to hedgehogs. He alligator “wrestled” at his job in the Everglades driving airboats, cared after salt water aquariums at his jobs in the aquarium industry, and spent many years working with reptiles, big cats, and primates at his jobs for the Parrot Jungle/Jungle Island and with Doc Antle at Myrtle Beach Safari (formerly known as TIGERS). He was so very talented when it came to his knowledge and abilities with animals or anything he found passion in. His passion for animals started from a very young age when Josh would collect turtles and even one time mothered ducks from eggs he found at the canal nearby our house growing up as kids.
Josh truly was talented in all that he found interest in. Whether it be cooking, he made a mean steak, or tending to his salt water aquariums, or his very green thumb, he most recently found a love for bonsais and growing them and propagating his own species. There was nothing Josh couldn’t do if he set his mind to it.
What we all hold most dear and closest to our hearts was his love for his family. There is absolutely NOTHING that Josh wouldn’t do for any of us. He was always there for all of us, whether it was to be the big protective brother or brother in law, the loving helpful son, cousin, uncle, or nephew, or of course being the very attentive loving finance that he was to his sweet Lesley.
Josh was taken from all of us far too soon. So we created this memorygram so that his memory and legacy can continue to live on far beyond his time.
We miss you more than we could ever express in words.
Thank you for scanning and keeping his memory alive,
His loving sister,
Sabrina
