I miss you ever single day ♥️ I will never forget the lessons you taught me and I will always pass your love and light on to others and share the things you loved so dearly.
Let the memory of Joy be with us forever.
Joy was born on December 5, 1965, in Charleston, WV to parents Brenda Joyce Troitino and Thomas Rader Troitino. She was a radiant soul whose life was defined by love, laughter, and boundless generosity. Raised in Daniels, WV, in the tight-knit community of Glade Springs, Joy spent her childhood immersed in the warmth of family, friendship, and the great outdoors. Whether she was riding horses, running track, or playing basketball or volleyball, Joy's zest for life was contagious. A talented athlete, she attended Coastal Carolina University on a golf scholarship and never missed watching a Master's Tournament, a tradition she cherished. Joy's professional life reflected her vibrant spirit and sharp intellect. She had a deep appreciation for public service and worked with pride in the West Virginia State Treasurer's Office. Dividing her time between homes in Hamlin and Beckley, West Virginia, Joy built lasting friendships in both communities. She will be remembered for her honesty, her unwavering kindness, and a welcoming heart - she truly never met a stranger. Above all, Joy treasured her family. She shared 27 beautiful years with her beloved husband, Greg Stowers, and considered her family the heart of her world. Joy is survived by her beloved husband Greg Stowers; her loving children, Sydney (David) Short, Aaron (Lisa) Stowers, and Brittany Stowers; her sisters Ann (Jerry) Rader Johnston and Tammy Rader Tully; brothers William "Larry" (Betsy) Troitino, Thomas Joseph Troitino, and Jason (Jackie) Rader Dain; her grandchildren Gavin Wylie Stowers, Harlowe Joy Troitino, Harper Ann Short, Isaac Enrico Short, and William Brock; and her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is reunited in peace with her father, Thomas Rader Troitino; her mother, Brenda Joyce Troitino; and her sisters, Amy Jo Johnson and Katherine Marie Posselt. Joy's legacy of love, strength, and sincerity will live forever on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
