Let the memory of Kathleen be with us forever.
Kathleen M. Chambliss (Haulk) was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 28, 1941. She married Ronald Eugene Chambliss on August 23, 1957. Together they had three children; Gary Lee, Douglas Eugene, and Deborah Lynn. She worked many jobs, including Tuchman Cleaners, Neff Cleaners and Browny Theatre. She also watched and cared for many children in her home as a daycare provider. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Brownsburg Cheer Committee, and Whitelick Presbyterian Church. She loved cooking meals for her family and her church. She was the best grandmother to her five grandchildren; Brian and Kelli Chambliss, Kathryn Chambliss (Brown), Justin and Jason Umbanhowar. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. She once invited a woman she met at Kroger to Thanksgiving, simply because the woman said she would be alone for the holidays. She had many friends, and loved spending time playing cards and just drinking coffee and catching up with them. She loved sitting outside and watching birds fly to her bird feeders. She loved the simple things in life that most people forget to appreciate. She struggled with health problems for many years, but always kept a brave face. Her famous saying was “everything is going to be alright. It will all work out,” even when things didn’t seem that way. She passed away on September 10, 2023 after being in hospice care for many months. She was the kindest, strongest, and most loving person we all had the pleasure of having in our lives. She will always be loved, and never forgotten.
