Let the memory of Kenny be with us forever.

Kenny owned and operated a family business that has continued for three generations, Pelfrey Contractors, as well as several other successful businesses. A member of Bethel Methodist Church in Dawsonville, he was a loving and devoted husband, father & grand father who loved life, his retirement, fishing, and his family most of all. He had an appreciation for automobiles, both old and new, and especially enjoyed racing. He was one of Bill & Chase Elliott's biggest fans. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, J.M. & Regina Pelfrey and father in law, Marcus Byrd Sr. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Deborah Pelfrey of Dawsonville, daughter & son-in-law Kendy & Todd Bennett, son & daughter-in-law, Travis & Jody Pelfrey, grand children, Taylor & Zack Martin, Chloe Bennett, Kane Pelfrey & Emma Pelfrey all of Dawsonville. He was also survived by numerous extended relatives, family & friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Bethel Methodist Church in Dawsonville. Rev. Andy Wallace & Dr David Sanders officiated. Grandchildren also stood together to honor him with a poem. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends at Bearden Funeral Home on Friday, June 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kenny's family was extremely overwhelmed at the support and love from all who knew and loved him. A special thank you to all who supported the family during this difficult time. Rejoice in knowing you were blessed by knowing Kenny & remember him with laughter, music, dancing, and some good ol' fishing!
