Lamar Taunton

Lamar always loved music and had been a musician since early childhood. Over the years, he played in several well-known bands. Most recently, he played bass and sang vocals in the Bama Breeze band, a local Montgomery band comprising experienced artists from the area. Lamar enjoyed traveling and loved to visit the beach, where much of his musical inspiration was derived. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. At every opportunity, you could find Lamar spending time and playing with his grandchildren. He was also an avid sports fan; on game day, you could find him watching his Auburn Tigers or cheering on the Atlanta Braves.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Taunton, and Children: Melissa Smith (Rachel), Shawn Taunton, Shane Taunton (Savannah), Glen E. Taunton (Laura), and Terry A. Taunton (Vickie). Sister: Janice Taunton Pylant. Stepsons: Channing Gardner and Carly, David Gardner, William Gardner, and Christina. Grandchildren: Magnolia Jane Taunton, Millicent Jordyn Taunton, Hayes Gardner, Ella Bailey Gardner, Luke Gardner, LoLa Zee Gardner. As well as many Nieces and Nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, W.E. Taunton Jr. and Johnnie Taunton, and his sisters, Debra Taunton and Mindy Taunton.
