Larry Smith

Larry Smith, 78, of Lorena, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Temple. TX. There are no services planned at this time.

Larry was born on May 3, 1947, in Belton, TX, to parents Shelley and Mary Lou Smith.

Larry was a simple man, who led a simple life. He enjoyed fishing, trips to Wally World, old trucks, and his family. If Larry knew you, you were family, because Larry knew no strangers. He was one of the kindest people you will have ever met. It did not matter if you were 5 years old or 50 years old, he treated you with kindness and respect. Everything he did, he did with love and compassion. He is deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Mamie Smith, his brother Jamie Smith, and granddaughter Kelsea Blair Smith, who passed in 1993.

He is survived by his children, Jeff Smith, Patrick Smith, and Anita Hines, his brother Mike Smith, his sister Rene Pogue, along with nine grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren who will carry on his legacy.
