Lorine Brown, beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and pillar of the community, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024 at the age of eighty-one. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Lorine Brown was born on February 12, 1943, in White Hall, Alabama, to the late Joe and Alice Brown. Lorine confessed Christ at an early age and faithfully served him until her passing.
Lorine entered eternal rest, surrounded by love, on May 24, 2024 at the age of eighty-one. She was preceded in the death by three sisters and five brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two loving and devoted children, Gary Brown of Stafford, VA and Lisa Brown of Montgomery, AL; four grandchildren, Shalisa Brown of Suffolk, Va, Jemichael Brown of Montgomery, AL, Jasmine Brown of Temple Hills, MD, Malcolm Brown of National Harbor, MD; four great-grandchildren, Samiyah Gamble of Suffolk, VA, Jewel Brown of Temple Hills, MD, JeMichael Brown Jr. of Montgomery, AL, Amani Lee of Temple Hills, MD; two sisters, Maggie Surles of Youngstown, OH, Huzell Brown of Dayton, OH; two brothers, Walter James Brown of Montgomery, AL, Hozell (Lucille) Brown of Selma, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Throughout her life, Lorine was known for her unwavering kindness and generosity. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Helping with the care of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three devoted nephews (Roy Surles of Youngstown, OH, Micheal Surles of Letohatchee, AL, and Jeffery Ingram of Montgomery, AL) and so many more. Lorine touched the lives of countless individuals with her selfless acts of kindness.
Lorine will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her beautiful smile, and her unwavering faith. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Lorine's life will be held will be held at the Mount Gillard Missionary Baptist Church located at 8376 US Hwy 80 West Whitehall, AL on Saturday, June 8, 2024 to mourn and celebrate her passing. Viewing at 11 AM, Service at 12 PM, Lunch after the service.
