Marcus DeJuan Barber, 54, passed away on August 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and genuine love for the people in his life.

Marcus was the kind of person whose smile had a way of putting others at ease. Those who knew him remember him as positive and warm-hearted, someone who brought comfort simply by being present. His spirit was one that drew people in, and the mark he left on those around him is one that will not fade.

He is survived by his partner, Derrie Brewster; his mother, Brenda Barber West; his daughter, Merkeyana Barber, step daughter Antionette Eugenio and son-in-law David Eugenio. As a father, Marcus held a role that clearly meant a great deal to him, and the love he poured into those relationships was evident to all who witnessed it.

Marcus is gone, but the memories he made, the laughter he shared, and the warmth he offered so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone he touched. He is deeply missed and dearly loved.
