Let the memory of Mary be with us forever.
Mary Ann Hall, 72, of Indianapolis, stepped into the presence of the Lord on November 15, 2025. She was born on April 18, 1953, to the late Chester D. and Peggy A. (Pearcy) Eaton. Mary Ann spent her childhood in Gulfport, Mississippi before returning to Indianapolis, where she built a life grounded in faith, love, and service. A longtime and faithful member of Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, she cherished both her family and her church community deeply. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Community Hospital for 29 years, where she was known for her dedication, compassion, and gentle care. In retirement, she remained active with the Community Hospital Retirees, continuing to offer kindness and encouragement wherever she went. Mary Ann was also a proud former Girl Scout and a member of the American Nurses Association. She found joy in spending time with her family and church family, playing Euchre, Yahtzee, and board games, and lovingly caring for her cats. She was especially known for her thoughtfulness—never missing an opportunity to send a card to friends and family for every occasion. She leaves behind to treasure her memory her loving husband, Mike Ellison; her daughter, Mary "Rachael" (Jeremy) Patterson; granddaughters, Jocelyn Hall and Reese Patterson; grandson, Memphis Patterson; daughter-in-law, Chandra Hay; stepchildren, Jeff Orduno and Amber Behrouzvaziri; and siblings, Gary Eaton and Janet Toth. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Michael D. Hall; her beloved son, Nathan Hall; and her grandson, Andrew Hall. A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, 1461 Sheek Road, Greenwood. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory, share stories, and celebrate a life well lived from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mary Ann’s memory may be made to Greenwood Bible Baptist Church or to the Girl Scouts of America, honoring her deep faith and lifelong commitment to nurturing others. Though her hands are at rest, her legacy lives on in every smile she inspired and every life she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
