Personal memories of Mitzi, a time you spent together, something that made you laugh, anything you'd like others to know.
My grandmom 💖
by Harley· August 11, 2026
She always made sure I was happy, fed, and comfortable. I will always cherish that she was such a large part of my childhood and life while I was finding my own feet when I was a bit older. She helped me more than I could ever say. She was truly my bestfriend and one of my favorite humans💖 I have more thoughts than I could ever put on a page. She was my rock and the glue of the family. She was always thinking of others. I’ll definitely miss calling her on my way to or from work every day❤️🩹
Cemetery's-core memories
by Tish
My mom's would always take us to cemetery's 3read the headstones. There's always so much history. When it was family members close together or the same day we'd talk about what we thought happened. From Colorado to California. During trips we stopped at random ones to check them out. She would oftentimes spend her lunch across from work at the cemetery. Because of that I look for ones when I'm traveling.
And I always found it ironic that she loved visiting them but never wanted to be in one.
Aunt Mitzi
by Sandra· August 10, 2026
When I sat down to write about Aunt Mitzi it came in a swirl of words. Here's what I think of when I think of my Aunt Mitzi. Hot air balloons- she loved them! Two of them showed up out the widow the morning she died to make me smile and cry. Frogs- she used to collet frogs and loved Kermit. Life Saver books- I loved them every time she got them. Barbara Streisand- she loved her songs. Walgreens- she loved to search the clearance shelves for treasures that her people would love. She was so thoughtful and generous! Safetran- I loved visiting her at work. The traffic lights were so cool. Chinese food- I used to love when she would cook foil wrapped chicken. Collared Shirt- It seems like she always wore one. She was such a hard worker. She loved road trips. She loved her hair dresser Corrie and dear friend Penny and Mona.
Adventures We Had
by Emily· August 10, 2026
I was her first Great Niece to arrive to the family and as such I was definitely the most spoiled, by all the extended family.
Aunt Mitzi would take me each year to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the Jot Air Balloon Festival! Every time throughout my life when I see one I’ve always thought of our fun times together at the festival and seeing our family out there! Each time we would travel together I’d come home with a new “ugly babydoll”, a mini baby that always had a face that had different emotions.
Aunt Mitzi would take me to the same Chinese restaurant every Saturday for the first decade of my life, and sporadically since then. She taught me how to use chopsticks and would always tell me that the mushrooms in the hot and sour soup were “bat wings”.
