Let the memory of Robert be with us forever.
My Dad grew up in southern Minnesota as an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fly fish, fish, hunt ducks, pheasants and geese. He was a husband to Riti, a Dad to Greg and Kirsti, Father in Law to Lisa and Kelly and Grandpa to Harper, Brody, Annika, Bailey and Cooper and "Fun Uncle Bob" to his nieces and nephews!
He served in the Air Force and was stationed in Germany for 3 years. He moved back and finished his college degree at St. Cloud State University. He met my Mom and they married in 1963.
In 1967 they moved to Buffalo MN with son Greg and established their roots. In June of 1971, my birth completed the Sanderson family. After teaching and coaching in the Buffalo school district and being an educational salesman, my dad decided to open up "Sandy's Sports Shop" which opened in 1977.
Here is the link to a story a family friend, from the Star Tribune, Tony Kennedy, wrote regarding my Dad's love of fishing.

As a business owner, my dad established strong friendships with other local shop owners. The "coffee guys" began having coffee at 10am and 3pm Monday thru Friday at the House of Lo. This is the reasoning for the location of his memorial bench. He LOVED to fish Buffalo Lake and loved his coffee boys.
As you look out onto the lake, know this was one of his favorite places on earth.
Sandy passed away in 2020 after a brief illness. After his funeral we found his goals for 2020....he wanted to "walk normal again" and "enjoy Life more". As a family, we are doing our best to honor those wishes.
Thanks for taking time to see my Dad's story :)
