Let the memory of Sam be with us forever.
Sam Palomares Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as Sammy and Uncle Pam. Sammy was born on July 16, 1993, and passed away on January 29, 2025, at the young age of 31.
Sammy was an ambitious and courageous individual who carved his own path in the world. His tenderness, shyness, and deep love for others were qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His kindness and gentle spirit touched countless lives, and he will be deeply missed.
Sammy dedicated over 10 years to the food and beverage industry, starting out as a busser and working his way up through hard work and determination. His dedication and skill eventually led him to manage prestigious restaurants such as Balboa Bay Club, Mastros Ocean Club, Agua Viva at The Conrad, the One Hotel’s Juniper Lounge and Garden, and finally, The Mission Inn’s Bella Trattoria Italian Bistro. Although he was known for his reserved demeanor, those who worked with him knew him as a truly exceptional person – someone everyone loved to work with.
Sammy’s passing at such a young age leaves a void in the hearts of his family, who loved him dearly. He is survived by his parents, Sam and Lorraine, his siblings Davenia, Melina, Dean, and Alina, as well as his beloved nieces Milah and Arya.
His love, laughter, and light will continue to live on in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Rest in peace, Sammy. You will forever be missed and remembered.
