Stephen Allen "Steve" "Papaw" Lyles 64 years old, of Rockwood Tennesse passed away at Methodist Medical center of Oak Ridge, Tennessee on January 6th, 2022. Steve courageously fought his extended illness for the past 9 years. His determination, unwavering perseverance to fight through his own obstacle were not for himself but for the unconditional love of his family.

Stephen was born September 3 , 1957, in Dallas, Texas. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Phyllis in 1977. His beautiful bride blessed him with an opportunity to be an amazing father of twins in December of 1979. Jessica Irene and Stephen Todd. Being a loving husband , father and Papaw was Steves greatest accomplishment in life, he would have said " His greatest Blessing ". Steve dedicated his life to being a friend as well, he never met a stranger, Brother , everyones favorite uncle , fun and life of the party! Some of Steve's hobbies and past times were fishing , golfing , playing slots , watching his Dallas Cowboys play , enjoying an ice-cold Pepsi and supporting anything his children and grandchildren participated in.

Steve is preceded in death bye his father , James Allen Lyles, Mother , Annie Faye (Mashburn ) Lyles and Father in law James Edward Hibdon.

He is Survived by wife, Phyllis (Hibdon) Lyles , daughter Jessica Friend and Her Husband Michael; son, Stephen Todd Lyles ; grandchildren Rebekah, James Allen, Kelsey, Jadyn, Landyn, Hannah, and Newly added Nova Adalynn, and Barrett Asher. Brothers Jeffery and James Daniel; sister Kristen; mother in law Irene Hibdon along with many brother in laws , sister in laws , nephews , nieces and cousins.

The family Received Friends from 3 to 5:45pm on Thursday January 13th at click funeral Home Middlebrook chapel with a celebration of life that followed at 6pm with Rev Jerry Mcbee officiating.

Family and friends then gathered here at Banks Cemetery on Friday January 14th at 11 am CST.

Steve's Faith and leadership as a husband , father, papaw and friend shall never be forgotten.

I fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord , the righteous judge, will award to me on that day-and not only me , but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV
