Life

Theresa Walker Manning

A chapter-by-chapter biography, milestones, achievements, and the moments that shaped Theresa. Family and friends can build it together.

by Vicky Shirland

Theresa was a beautiful soul who lived life with such a full heart, joyful spirit and a love for God that shone through in the way she lived. She was the kind of person who could brighten a room simply by walking into it, and her laughter was a gift to everyone blessed enough to know her.

Theresa was always full of life. She had a special way of making people smile, whether it was through her unforgettable personality, her love of telling corny jokes, or her natural ability to make everyone feel like a friend. She never met a stranger, because to Theresa, everyone was someone worth knowing. She had a warmth about her that made people feel welcome, loved and accepted.

Her faith in God was an important part of who she was, and her love for him was woven into her life. She carried a light within her that touched the people around her, and her joyful spirit was a reminder to embrace life, find reasons to laugh, and share love whenever possible.

Those who knew Theresa will remember her for her laughter, her kind heart, her wonderful sense of humor, and the way she could turn an ordinary moment into a special memory. She had a way of bringing joy into the lives of others that was uniquely her own. She lived in a nursing home, and often spent her own money to buy projects for those in the home to work on. She loved spreading joy to others and watching their excitement of doing their painting projects.

While her passing leaves a tremendous sadess in the hearts of those that loved her, the beautiful memories she created will live forever. The world feels a little less bright without her in it, but the love she shared will never fade.

Her family and friends will carry her in their hearts, remembering her smile, hearing her laughter in their memories, and perhaps even find themselves smiling at a corny joke and thinking of her.

Though we say goodbye for now, we take comfort in our faith and knowing that one day we will meet again in God's presence.

Theresa you were loved more than words can express, and you will be missed more than words can ever say. Your time here has ended, but your light, your laughter, and your love will live on in the hearts of all who knew you. Until we meet again, may you rest in the loving arms of God. Lover your sissy Vicky
