Let the memory of Ty be with us forever.
Ty Brayden Graves, 19, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away on April 1st, 2025, at the Monroe County Medical Center following a motorcycle accident. Though his time here was brief, Ty lived with more spirit and heart than most do in a lifetime.
Born in Glasgow, Kentucky, Ty was a 2024 graduate of Monroe County High School and worked at Roy Anderson Lumber Company. Known for his love of anything with wheels—especially crotch rockets—Ty found his joy in the freedom of the open road and the adrenaline of the ride. He had a passion for motorcycles that matched the intensity with which he lived: full throttle, with laughter in his lungs and light in his eyes.
Ty was the kind of person who lit up any room he walked into. His laugh was contagious, his energy magnetic. He had a deep love for children and a gift for connecting with them—whether he was playing, joking, or simply making them feel seen and important. Ty adored kids, and they adored him right back.
He was the type of person who would go the extra mile for anyone, even if he didn’t know them. His kindness knew no bounds. Whether you were a friend, a stranger, or somewhere in between, Ty made you feel like you mattered. Beneath his tough exterior was a deeply kind and gentle soul—the most beautiful person, inside and out.
Ty was baptized on November 21, 2023, and was a member of Rock Valley Church of Christ. His faith, strength, and resilience touched all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Casey Jones, and survived by his father, Dutch Graves; parents Larry and Lena Proffitt; and grandparents Larry and Brenda Graves. Ty also leaves behind his five brothers—Dutch Braxton, Brody, Bryson, Briar, and Gatlin Graves—and three sisters—Jon Whitley Graves, Marlee Turner, and Allie Claywell—all of Tompkinsville.
Ty Brayden Graves will be remembered as someone who gave everything for the people he loved. He was full of life, laughter, and light. His presence will be missed beyond words, but the impact he made on those around him—especially the smallest hearts—will live on forever.
