Memorygram vs. Monumark: three video embeds can be a tight limit

Monumark’s hosted page has video, text, and link caps. Compare those limits with Memorygram’s direct media uploads and personalized memorial medallion.

Our take

We prefer Memorygram for a personalized medallion with direct photo and video uploads. Monumark’s included page permits just three external video embeds and limits story text. Its $79 tag is less expensive, but the hosted-page limits deserve scrutiny before you build a rich family archive around it.

A video tribute needs more thought than a three-slot allowance.

A wedding speech, a holiday message, and an interview would fill three video slots. If the next relative brings another meaningful clip, the family must decide what to replace or how else to present it. Plan the collection before selecting a platform around the first few files.

Direct uploads in Memorygram avoid the separate hosting step. The capacity still has a boundary: the medallion includes 1 GB, so file size matters. Short clips and compressed photographs use that space differently from long, high-resolution videos.

Monumark’s alternate-URL option changes the comparison.

Monumark allows the tag to point to another website. Its included page’s limits therefore are not unavoidable if you already maintain a memorial elsewhere. Hosting that alternate page becomes a separate decision and may involve its own costs.

Memorygram support can also point an ordered medallion to an existing obituary or other preferred URL. Start with the page you want people to visit, then choose the physical object. A QR code should serve that decision rather than dictate it.

Choose Memorygram for the object and the direct-upload workflow.

A Memorygram Medallion has the loved one’s engraved name, optional dates, an indoor stand, and optional saying or fingerprint engraving. It is designed to have meaning even before a visitor reaches for a phone. That is the case for paying more than the price of a small QR tag.

For someone who already has a website and wants a compact, less expensive marker, the buying priorities are different. We recommend Memorygram when personal presentation and managing media inside the memorial are what the family values most.
