Kaylee Fox-Whaley

2010 – 2023

Let the memory of Kaylee be with us forever.

Kaylee Ann was for starters, a hero. She saved Fox’s life on multiple occasions. She is survived by her mama, dad, and brother Poe (and new brother Ricky). Trained as a remarkable service dog, she shared life with her humans in the most special way that a lot of pets don’t get to. It seemed like she knew it too. She was always excited to go anywhere with them, on walks, to play, or even if it meant going to the hospital for hours on end. She was a soulmate, a best friend, a home, to her most cherished people. She had a rough go of it for a little while but eventually, through the help of her wonderful dad, got better. She loved him almost as much as she loved mama. And he loved her even more. She was surrounded by love with her parents, who did everything they could to keep her around for as long as possible. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever. But she sent them a very special pup when she knew they were ready. He has some of her puppy mannerisms, and the intuition when someone’s upset just like she did. We miss her every day, and mama knows you’re with them every time Ricky nips their butt in play. Hopefully Kaylee is running through snow, chasing toys, playing with Lambchop, and having fun with all the other best dogs that have kept other friends alive. Thank you for everything, Kaylee. We’ll always love you.

You were a very special and well loved sweetheart who is missed dearly. The help you have your human meant more to them in their darkest moments than you'd ever have realised. Your kindness and gentle nature calmed nerves and captured hearts. I hope you're enjoying running free over the rainbow bridge. Lots of love and light.

The sweetest, softest, bestest girl! It was the honor of a lifetime to watch Kaylee grow into the best companion someone could ask for. She dedicated her life to Jo, as Jo did for her. An unbreakable bond and unshakeable love, understood from human to dog. Continue resting sweetly, Kay, but know your spirit is with us forever and forever.

I remember Kaylee being the sweetest girl. She was smart, gentle, and loving. I remember watching Kaylee so that Fox could go see Adam for the first time 💕 it was an honor to know that I was trusted to care for her. Kaylee also showed me that bigger dogs are not scary 💕. Kaylee, you are so loved! Thank you for your service!

Kaylee and I had a rocky start because bringing her into our home made it so I had to give up Cleo, the first dog I have memories of. I didn't understand the complexities for a long time but I would give anything to see you one last time and I will always regret not trying harder to fly out to see you one last time. I will miss both of them for as long as im alive. Kaylee was an amazing dog and saved my siblings life. Without her I don't think I would even have a family that loves me for me. All she knew was how to love and help and be a silly girl when she wasn't hard at work. She was an amazing big sister to Odi and Poe, she taught them what it means to love and care for their humans and was truly a role model. Odi was so depressed without her when she left our childhood home, he truly loved his big sister and it took him a long time to recover and I can imagine it was similar for Poe when she finally crossed the rainbow bridge. I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye, i loved you and will carry you with me and could only hope when i have the strength to get a dog of my own again that they are everything like you, Kaylee. I hope you are surrounded by all your favorite things and get to endlessly run in the grass, wherever you are.
