Good morning. You don’t know me. I am in your Mom’s group (Our Place) on the Township game in Facebook. It was her group. She also set up a Facebook group (Our Place 2) for us members to connect outside of the game and we are Facebook friends. I wanted to let you know that as a member of her Township game, I have looked up to her and have enjoyed and admired the tiny piece of her life that I have been privileged to be part of. The first thing that I learned about her through the game was her generosity. If you are not familiar with the game, it gives opportunities for members to ask for help in gathering items to fulfill tasks. Your mom seemed to always have and share with me what I needed. Yes, it is just a game and items are just pretend, however, that generosity made it fun and a great role model for me to in turn help others. The second thing I learned was that she wanted her group to just have fun! We could spend as much or as little time tending to our own towns as we wanted. It was fun as a group to occasionally come in 1st place in the race but no big deal if we didn’t come close. When any of us fail a task, the others are quick to forgive reminding each other it is just a game. We are a group of friends just enjoying the process of the game. Anyway, I wanted to express my sympathy and let you know of yet another branch of generosity your mom had extended. I am going to miss her. In such, since my so limited connection showed me her goodness, I can only imagine that it was just a tiny picture of her amazement. I have a feeling you are about to learn how far and wide your mom’s life touched and uplifted people. (I lost both my parents in 2021 and during their funerals my heart grew to see how far their friendships extended) God bless you both and your family and friends!
