Choose the book you want the family to receive.

A family with colorful photographs and scanned keepsakes may care about the printed result as much as the interview. Look at a sample page with a photograph, a long caption, and several paragraphs of text. Ask whether the size and layout make those details comfortable to read.

For a family that needs several storytellers, calculate the whole project: Storyworth Unlimited includes two color books and permits additional storytellers, while Memorygram charges separately to add another storyteller to the same book.

Choose Memorygram if the storyteller is most comfortable answering the phone and the family wants a substantial color book without recurring subscription charges. Arrange the first conversation for a time when they can settle in, and begin with a story they enjoy telling.

If your relative prefers writing, or if a multi-person Storyworth package better fits your budget, that may be the right choice. An unfinished book with more features is less useful than a simpler project someone enjoys completing.
